Now, this is a good burger

Shake Shack, Miami Beach Location

A friend told me about this awesome burger place she tried in NYC and how they had recently opened a shop in Miami Beach. Of course, I had to try it because I’m a burger girl. Scratch that, I’m a food girl.

The spot is called Shake Shack and it is known for its lean, premium beef burgers, crunchy, 100% trans-fat free Yukon Gold fries and frozen custard (something I still can’t define very well).

I had the ShackBurger made with fresh ground beef– never frozen– lettuce, tomatoes, and American cheese spread with Shack Sauce on a grilled potato bun. And, of course, I had fries with my burger. Actually, I made them cheese fries. Both my friend and I had the same reaction when we ate our burgers “Wow, this burger feels so light on your stomach!”

Shake Shack also offers vegetarian portobello mushroom burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes, wine, beer, a gluten-free menu and frozen doggie treats. Check out their full menu and ingredient list here.

And, if you are share concerns about the environment, you’ll be happy to know that Shake Shack does its part in decreasing its footprint by purchasing wind power credits, composting 100% of its organic materials on-site and recycling its cooking oil into bio-diesel fuel.
